Face transplant

A FACE transplant patient recovers from surgery — just three weeks after his old one was torn off by a stone-cutting machine at work.

Docs rushed into a 27-hour op on the man, 33 — said to have had the shortest wait ever for the procedure — as his life was at risk.
Named only as Grzegorz, he is making “very good progress” following the May 15 transplant in Gliwice, Poland. Surgeons said: “This will allow him to return to normal life.”
